founded in 2006 by Christina Harding
Business Owner Christina Harding, began her career in the fashion industry studying fashion design and textiles at The London College of Fashion.
Once her degree was complete, Christina remained in London and went on to secure a position at Ozwald Boateng of Savile Row.
She started out as an apprentice and gradually made her way up the fashion ladder, when she qualified as a fully trained Tailor.
Her new position enabled her to work on all aspects of fine men’s tailoring for the likes of celebrity icons: Will Smith, the King of Morocco and Laurence Fishburne – where quality in clothing is paramount.
With the success of Christina’s career going from strength to strength, the time was also right to have her first child in 2005. With it becoming difficult to juggle parenting and working as a tailor alongside each other, Christina decided to broaden her skills with a local curtain making company. In this time she learnt all about high quality, bespoke hand made curtains and roman blinds.
With the many strings to her bow learnt during her career, Christina decided to make the most of her talent and set up her own company, in the form of Bespoke Alterations!
Since then Bespoke Alterations has gone on to grow year on year, in 2014 Christina realised that a company rebrand was needed to appeal to her business’ wide range of audience. She decided upon the name of Christina Harding, as it is still known today!
Christina now works with many local companies including: The Bridal Consultancy NellA’more, Ted Baker and Karen Millen. In conjunction with surrounding Bridal shops such as: The Barn Bridal, The Bridal Lounge & Abigails of Colchester, Essex.
